CuddleCubs Recalled Pull-String Teething Toy Sets Sold on Amazon

In July 2026, YouRfocus recalled about 106 CuddleCubs Creations Baby Highchair Teething Toy Sets in the colors “BlueOrange” and “YellowOrange.”

Each of these sets includes a suction-cup teether, with a chick-shaped teether and a pull-string toy.

Why Was The Toy Recalled?

The pull-string toy was recalled because it did not meet federal safety rules. The problem is that the silicone strings are smaller and longer than allowed under the mandatory safety standard. Safety officials warned that the strings can reach the back of a child’s throat and become lodged, which posing a choking hazard and a serious risk of respiratory distress (breathing problems).

Why Are Pull-String Teething Toys a Choking Hazard?

A pull-string teether is built to be tugged and chewed by a baby who has no way to judge what is safe. When the strings are longer and thin, a child can suck it deep into their mouth or throat. Young babies may not be physically capable of removing the toy from their throat, resulting in a choking incident.

The strings on the toy may become lodged at the back of the throat can block a young child’s airway. The CPSC has warned that this design poses a risk of respiratory distress and a deadly choking hazard, which is the reason 7 different brands of these toys have been pulled from Amazon since January 2026.

Choking in infants is often silent. A baby in trouble may have a weak cough or no cough at all, may make high-pitched squeaking sounds or no sound, and may be unable to cry, according to the American Red Cross.

The CPSC instructs owners as follows:

“Consumers should stop using the pull string teething toys immediately, take them away from children and contact YouRfocus for a full refund.”

To claim the refund, owners are asked to cut all silicone strings, write “DESTROYED” in permanent marker on the main body of the toy, and email a photo of the destroyed toy to cuddlecubscreation@126.com.
