Yetonamr Teething Toys Recalled After 32 Choking Incidents

On January 22, 2026, a recall was issued for about 6,800 Yetonamr Pull-String Teething Toys after 32 reports of choking incidents when the silicone pull-strings became lodged in the back of a child’s throat.

How Many Children Were Injured?

No serious injuries or deaths were reported, but Yetonamr Pull-String Teething Toys were linked to 32 choking incidents. Safety officials warned about a risk of “respiratory distress, serious choking hazard and death.”

What is the Problem?

The teething toys violate mandatory safety standards for toys because the silicone pull-strings are smaller than permitted, according to a warning from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

According to the recall:

“The silicone strings can reach the back of the throat and become lodged, posing a risk of respiratory distress, serious choking hazard and death.”

How To Identify Yetonamr Teething Toys

The recall involves about 6,800 pull-string teething toys that were sold on Amazon by a company in China doing business as Yetonamr Shop.

They were sold online at Amazon.com from June 2025 through October 2025 for between $10 and $16.

The packaging for the product has “Model no. 688-59.” The toys are disc-shaped, off-white, and have either a red or blue ball in the middle.

The choking hazard is linked to 6 pull-string “tentacles” of various colors that run through the middle of the ball in the middle of the toy. There are also push-buttons and 3 free-spinning rings on the toy.

What Should I Do?

Parents and caregivers should immediately take the toy away from children and destroy it.

To get a refund, customers can should cut off the silicone pull-string tentacles and dispose of them. Then write “DESTROYED” in permanent marker on the main body of the toy. You can email a photograph of the destroyed toy to yetonamr_recall@163.com.
