In January 2019, Whole Foods Markets in 8 states recalled dozens of salads, wraps, pizza and sandwiches that contained baby spinach due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Whole Foods Recalls Items With Spinach

January 24, 2019 — Whole Foods Markets recalled dozens of products containing baby spinach because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported.

Whole Foods Recall in Response to Satur Farms Spinach Recall

Whole Foods issued the recall in response to another recall from their spinach supplier, Satur Farms of Cutchogue, New York, after a sample tested positive for Salmonella during tests by health officials in Florida and New York.

What Items Were Recalled by Whole Foods?

Whole Foods recalled dozens of salads, pizza, sandwiches and wraps containing baby spinach, as well as products from the salad bars or hot bars containing spinach purchased through January 23, 2019.

The recall affects products from 8 states: Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.
