October 2, 2019 — Tip Top Poultry, Inc. recalled fully-cooked chicken and turkey products due to a risk of Listeria contamination.
Tip Top also recalled 135,000 pounds of chicken in August.
The expanded recall includes all fully-cooked, diced, or shredded poultry produced between January 21, 2019 and September 24, 2019 with product codes ranging from 10000-19999 or 70000-79999.
The products were supplied to hotels, restaurants, nursing homes, and other institutions in the U.S. and Canada.
Items may be labeled as pulled turkey or chicken, cooked chicken, shredded chicken, diced chicken, dark chicken meat, chicken fines, and more.
The recall affects items sold under the following brand-names:
- Butterball
- Tip Top
- H. Walker Foods
- Sysco
- GFS
- West Creek
- R.W. Zant Co.
- Perdue
- Delizous Farms
- Clean Eats Café
- Gordon

No illnesses have been confirmed in connection with the recalls, but Listeria infections can be severe or deadly. Pregnant women may suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth. Invasive infections can cause meningitis (brain or spinal cord inflammation) and other complications.
