Taco Seasonings Recalled in Texas
In July 2019, Williams Foods LLC recalled certain Walmart Great Value® and HEB Taco Seasoning packets because the cumin tested positive for Salmonella.
What is the Problem?
No illnesses have been linked to the recalled taco seasonings. Williams Foods issued the recall after being notified by Mincing Spice Co. that the cumin in the taco seasoning may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.
What Taco Seasoning Was Recalled?
The recall involves the following taco seasoning packets:
- Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix: Best if used by 07/08/21 and 07/09/21
- HEB Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium: Better by 07/10/21, 07/11/21, and 07/15/21
They were sold at stores in Texas and other states, including: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY.
