What is Rascal Plus?
Rascal Plus® Herbicide is a weed-killer that is manufactured by Agrian. It contains a combination of Monsanto’s herbicide glyphosate (41%) and other active ingredients (59%). Rascal is advertised to control broadleaf weeds, grassy plants, woody brush, and trees.
What is the problem?
Rascal contains glyphosate, which is the same herbicide that is found in Monsanto’s Roundup® and many other weed-killers. The problem is that a growing number of studies have found higher rates of lymphoma among people who are exposed to glyphosate.
Glyphosate and Cancer
The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) determined that glyphosate probably causes cancer in people based on 3 studies in the U.S., Canada, and Sweden that found higher rates of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma among farm-workers.
