Evenflo Recalls Pillo Portable Napper For Suffocation Hazard

On January 29, 2020, Evenflo Company, Inc., of Ohio announced a voluntary recall for approximately 3,100 Pillo Portable Nappers because the products are inclined sleepers with an unsafe design that poses a suffocation hazard for babies.

How Many Babies Have Been Injured?

No injuries or deaths were linked to the Pillo Portable Napper as of January 2020, but the products are very similar to other inclined sleepers that are now linked to at least 73 baby deaths and over 1,100 incidents, including serious injuries.

What Products Were Recalled?

Evenflo recalled Pillo Portable Nappers with Model Number #12132125. They were sold from May 2017 through January 2020 at Target, Kohl’s, Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, JC Penney, Walmart and other stores nationwide for about $75.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Pillo Portable Napper and contact Evenflo for a cash refund or voucher.

Safety Hazards of Inclined Sleepers
