November 16, 2018 — A recall has been issued for 21 boxes of Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch Cereal due to a risk of food poisoning with Salmonella. No illnesses with Salmonella have been confirmed to date.
The recall was issued after a routine sampling program by the manufacturer tested positive for Salmonella, according to The Quaker Oats Company, which is a subsidiary of PepsiCo, Inc.

The recall involves 17.1-ounce boxes of Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch cereal with UPC code 0 30000 6211 1 and Best Before Dates of “JUL 30 19” or “JUL 31 19.”
