Oskri Organics Recalls All Nut Butters Due to Listeria Risk

January 30, 2019 — Oskri Organics Corporation of Lake Mills, Wisconsin has announced a recall for ALL nut butters after multiple positive tests for Listeria bacteria in finished products.

Oskri Organics has recalled a variety of nut butters, including: Almond, Cashew, Coconut, Peanut (all flavor varieties), Pumpkin, Sunflower, and Tahini.

The products have not been linked to any reports of illnesses, but infections with Listeria can be very severe or deadly.

The recalled Oskri nut butters are marked with “Best By” dates of June 2020 (6/20) and earlier, and were distributed in these states: NY, MI, CA, PA, OH, WI, NH, IL, FL, MA, TX, AZ, IN, ID, OR, SC, and RI.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that often causes invasive infections, such as meningitis, as well as pregnancy complications. According to the FDA warning:
