March 22, 2019 — Two men were injured in oil rig explosion in northeastern Wyoming, according to the Gillette News Record.

Campbell County Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said the explosion happened in the early morning hours of March 13, 2019, while workers were loading a hot oil tanker at a well site on Van Buggenum Road.

The victims include a 24 year-old man who suffered burns on his face and hands. Another 23 year-old man was injured when the explosion blasted his back. He also could not stop shaking after the accident.

Both men were hospitalized at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
