ThermaCare Back Pain HeatWraps Recalled for Burn Risk

May 6, 2019 — Pfizer Inc. has announced a voluntary recall for ThermaCare® Back Pain Therapy HeatWraps due to the risk of burns and other injuries.

The recall involves 1 lot of ThermaCare® HeatWraps (Up To 16HR Pain Relief) that may have been manufactured with cells that have a higher temperature than specified.

Using a recalled ThermaCare HeatWrap with a cell that has an increased temperature poses a potential risk of skin injuries such as burns/blisters and/or skin irritation on the wrap applied area.

The recalled HeatWraps were distributed nationwide to retailers, wholesalers and distributors in the United States and Puerto Rico from June 2017 through March 2018.
