The recall covers two models: the ZWILLING ENFINIGY Electric Kettle (1.5 L) and the ZWILLING ENFINIGY Electric Kettle Pro (1.5 L). The kettles were manufactured in China and distributed in the U.S. by ZWILLING J.A. Henckels, LLC of Pleasantville, New York.

What Is the Burn Hazard?
According to the CPSC, the kettle’s handle can loosen and separate from the kettle, causing hot contents to spill, posing a risk of serious injury due to a burn hazard.
When the handle of an electric kettle fails during pouring or lifting, near-boiling water can be released onto the user’s hands, arms, legs, feet, or torso. Scald burns from water at or near 212°F can produce severe injuries within seconds of contact.
