In April 2026, Lil Pick Up Inc. recalled about 4,900 Rex110 and Sierra110 youth ATVs after a 6-year-old child died in a crash in 2025. The ATVs were found to violate 3 separate federal safety standards for children’s off-road vehicles. If your child was hurt, you may have legal options.

What Is the Lil Pick Up ATV Recall?

On April 23, 2026, the CPSC announced a recall for about 4,900 Rex110 and Sierra110 youth all-terrain vehicles imported by Lil Pick Up Inc. of Rowland Heights, California. The vehicles were manufactured in Vietnam and sold through specialty powersports retailers across the United States.

The recall was issued after the CPSC confirmed one death. In 2025, a 6-year-old child died in a crash involving a Rex110 ATV while riding with a passenger. The ATV was not designed to carry a passenger. The recalled ATVs were sold between January 2023 and January 2026 for between $600 and $800.

Some of these ATVs were sold under additional brand names — Seangles, MOTOTEC, OFFROAD MALL, and EXTREME — so Texas families may not immediately recognize that their child’s ATV is included in the recall. The model name “Rex110” or “Sierra110” appears on the VIN plate on the front frame column.

Why Were the ATVs Recalled?

The CPSC identified three separate violations of the federal mandatory ATV safety standard

  • The recalled ATVs exceed the maximum allowable speed for children ages 6 and older, posing a crash hazard.
  • The mechanical suspension fails to comply with the required safety specifications.
  • The throttle may get stuck during use, which can cause a loss of control.

The CPSC also found that the footwell surfaces of the recalled ATVs can reach dangerously high temperatures during use, posing a risk of severe burn injuries to a child’s feet and legs. These are not minor violations. The combination of excessive speed, suspension failure, and throttle sticking creates a serious safety hazard.

The federal mandatory ATV safety standard exists specifically to protect children. When an importer sells a youth ATV that violates that standard, and a child is hurt as a result, the importer and the retailers who sold the vehicle may be held accountable.

Were These ATVs Sold in Texas?

Yes. The recalled Lil Pick Up ATVs were sold at specialty powersports retailers across the United States, including Texas Star DBA Flying Scooter, a Texas-based retailer.

Other retailers in the distribution chain include Cougar Cycle, Vitacci Motorcycles, ODES USA, BV Powersports, Tool Store Go-Kart Shop, Offroad Mall, Triple J Imports, and others.

With the Rex110 sold nationwide from January 2023 through November 2025, and the Sierra110 from January 2024 through January 2026, thousands of these vehicles are already in homes nationwide.

If your family purchased a Rex110 or Sierra110 ATV during the sale period from any of these retailers, your vehicle may be included in the recall. The best way to confirm is to check the model name on the VIN plate and visit lilpickup.us.

What Should Texas Families Do?

The CPSC is urging all consumers to stop using the recalled ATVs immediately and contact Lil Pick Up for a full refund.

Lil Pick Up is offering free ATV pick-up and transportation as part of the recall remedy. Families can register at lilpickup.us or contact Lil Pick Up directly at 951-245-5663, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT.

The Pattern of Recalled Youth ATVs in Texas

The Lil Pick Up recall is the latest in a long line of youth ATVs that have entered the Texas market without meeting federal safety requirements. Over the past several years, the CPSC has recalled youth ATVs from Luyuan, ACE, Rosso Motors, Venom Motorsports, and others.

Almost all of these recalls involve the same core defect: exceeding the maximum allowable speed for children, posing a crash hazard.

In Texas, where ATVs are commonly used on ranches, farms, rural properties, and recreational land, children are especially likely to encounter these vehicles. The problem is compounded by the fact that many of these ATVs are sold through smaller specialty retailers or online platforms, where parents have little way of knowing the vehicle fails to meet federal safety standards until after a crash has occurred.

Can I File a Lawsuit If My Child Was Hurt on a Recalled ATV in Texas?

Texas families whose children were injured or killed on a recalled youth ATV may be entitled to compensation. Product liability claims can be brought against the importer, the manufacturer, or the retailers who sold a non-compliant vehicle. In wrongful death cases, surviving family members may have additional claims under Texas law.

The key question in these cases is whether the ATV was defective (meaning it failed to meet federal safety standards) and whether that defect was connected to the crash or injury. In the Lil Pick Up recall, the CPSC has already confirmed that the vehicles violate federal mandatory safety standards and has linked those violations to a child’s death.

Time limits apply to product liability claims under Texas law. If your child was hurt on a recalled ATV, do not wait to speak with a Texas ATV injury lawyer about your options.
