Kettle Cuisine Linked to Listeria Recall of Walmart Soup Kit
In August 2026, a Maryland-based company called Kettle Cuisine LLC issued a food-safety recall for Walmart’s Marketside® Tomato Bisque Soup Kits after the product was linked to a risk of Listeria.
Kettle Cuisine sent 3,240 packs of the 14-oz. soup kits to Walmart stores in 29 states, including Texas, between June 30 and July 7, 2026. No illnesses have been confirmed, but the products have a long shelf-life, so it is possible that illnesses may not have been reported.
Kettle Cuisine said it issued the recall proactively after its own routine internal tests returned a “presumptive positive” result for Listeria. The company is investigating the potential source of the contamination along with the FDA.
What Is the Risk?
