Wagner Spray Tech Recalls 700K Power Steamers
In March 2026, Wagner Spray Tech voluntarily recalled approximately 700,000 Wagner 900 Series power steamers after at least 50 people were burned on their arms, hands, feet, and face. The steamers were sold at Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Amazon across Texas for nearly 8 years before the recall was issued.
Wagner Power Steamers Linked to 50 Reports Burn Injuries
Wagner received at least 156 reports of the hose getting too hot or the nozzle expelling hot water. Those reports include over 50 burn injuries to consumers’ arms, hands, feet, and face, many resulting in first- or second-degree burns.
The steamers were sold from November 2018 through March 2026, meaning many Texas households may still have the recalled product at home without knowing it was ever recalled.
What Is the Burn Hazard?
Wagner Spray Tech describes the defect on its own recall page as follows:
“This recall includes the 905e Auto Steamer, 915e On-Demand Power Steamer, and 925e Steam Machine Elite Steamer. Wagner is recalling these products because the attached hose can get excessively hot and the nozzle/gun may expel hot water during use and after the trigger is engaged, posing a serious burn hazard to consumers.”
Types of Burn Injuries Linked to Wagner Power Steamers
Burn injuries linked to this recall may include:
- First-degree burns with redness, pain, and swelling
- Second-degree burns with blistering, deep tissue damage, and scarring
- Burns to high-risk areas including the face, hands, arms, and feet
Which Products Are Affected?
The recall covers the following Wagner 900 Series power steamer models, all sharing a yellow and black pressurized boiler base with “Wagner” on the sides:
- Wagner Model 905e Auto Steamer
- Wagner Model 915e On-Demand Power Steamer
- Wagner Model 925e Steam Machine Elite Steamer
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled steamers were sold at The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, Target, HSN, and QVC, as well as on Amazon and Wagner’s own website, from November 2018 through March 2026 for between $130 and $200. These are among the most widely shopped retailers in Texas, with locations across Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and every major Texas market.
Wagner is offering a free repair kit to affected owners through its recall page. The kit includes a hose sleeve, a handle cover, and a fill-rite funnel. Wagner notes that due to high demand, kits are currently shipping within 2 to 3 weeks. Owners can also call 800-962-6118 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET or email us-wagnerrecall@wagner-group.com.
How Many People in Texas Were Burned?
The CPSC has not released a state-by-state breakdown of the 50+ reported burn injuries nationally. Because the recalled steamers were sold at major Texas retailers for nearly 8 years, you or your loved ones might one of the recalled models.
The official injury counts reported to the CPSC may also under-represent the actual number of people who were hurt. Many consumers never report burn injuries to the manufacturer or to federal regulators. If you were burned by a Wagner steamer, you may have a case even if your injury was never reported.
Legal Help for Burn Victims in Texas
Wagner 900 Series steamers were sold throughout Texas for years. These products are commonly used for household cleaning, wallpaper removal, and other home maintenance tasks, which means that innocent consumers may have been at risk while using this product.
Texas consumers who were burned could potentially be able to seek compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages tied to a burn injury. Time limits apply to product liability claims in Texas, so the sooner you speak with a lawyer, the better.
