VEVOR Garment Steamers Recalled for Burn Hazards

In December 2025, an online seller doing business as VEVOR issued a recall for about 2,840 VEVOR Garment Steamers that can leak or spill hot water and cause burn injuries.

What is the Risk?

The recall involves VEVOR Garment Steamers (model number FCL-H09 or ES-H10), which have multiple flaws that pose burn hazards.

One problem is that the steamers can spit, spill, or leak hot water during use. Another problem is that the cap can break off, detach, or leak during use, which can spill extremely hot water.

The garment steamers were also sold with a silver glove that is supposed to protect users. Instead, there was a report of a person who suffered a minor burn injury while wearing the glove.

VEVOR explained these issues in the recall announcement:

“The steamers can leak or spit hot water, posing a risk of serious burn injury to users and bystanders. The water tank cap can also leak or detach during use, exposing users to hot water.”

How To Check Your Garment Steamer

VEVOR is asking customers to immediately stop using the recalled garment steamers. They can be identified by Model Number FCL-H09 or ES-H10. The steamers have a white body and orange letters on the side that read: “VEVOR” and “TOUGH TOOLS, HALF PRICE.”

Where Were They Sold?

The recalled VEVOR Garment Steamers were sold on Amazon.com, HomeDepot.com, and Vevor.com from December 2023 through September 2025 for between about $10 and $33.

How Many Burn Injuries Were Reported?

VEVOR said it received 6 reports of hot water spitting, pouring out, leaking, or dripping from the garment steamers.

VEVOR also received 12 reports of the water tank cap breaking off, detaching, leaking, not staying closed, fitting too loosely, or melting. These problems with the water tank cap resulted in two burn injuries.

There were 3 reports of people who suffered burn injuries, including:

  • One person suffered a permanent scar and a 2nd-degree burn from hot water after the steamer’s cap suddenly detached
  • One person suffered a minor burn injury on their hand and fingers from leaked water.
  • One person suffered a minor steam burn through the provided glove.

What Should I Do?

Customers should immediately stop using the recalled garment steamers. VEVOR has set up a recall website at https://www.vevor.com/pages/vevor-steamer-recall where you can upload photos and register for a full refund.
