VEEKTOMX Power Bank Recalled for Fire and Burn Hazards
On April 9, 2026, Shenzhen Baihang Technology Co., Ltd. announced a recall of about 8,000 VEEKTOMX VT103 Small Portable Charger Mini Power Banks in cooperation with the CPSC (Recall No. 26-399).
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled power banks were sold exclusively on Amazon.com between January 2024 and September 2024, priced between $24 and $30. If you bought a VEEKTOMX mini power bank on Amazon during that period, it may be subject to this recall.
What Is the Fire and Burn Hazard?
According to the CPSC, the lithium-ion battery in the recalled power banks can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Shenzhen Baihang has received 3 reports of fires resulting in minor property damage.
Were Any Injuries Reported?
No injuries have been officially reported, but lithium-ion battery fires can escalate quickly and cause serious burns, fires in homes and vehicles, and significant property damage. Anyone in Texas who experienced overheating, smoke, or fire from a VEEKTOMX power bank should consider speaking with a lawyer about their legal options.
Which Products Are Recalled?
The recall covers VEEKTOMX VT103 Small Portable Charger Mini Power Banks in white, pink, and purple. The model number “VT103” is imprinted on the back of the recalled units.
- Recalled: VT103 units with NO serial number on the bottom right corner of the back of the power bank
- Not recalled: VT103 units that DO have a serial number displayed on the bottom right corner of the casing
If you are unsure whether your unit is included, contact Veektomx at recall@veektomx.com or visit veektomx.com and click “Important Recall Information.”
What Should Texas Consumers Do?
The CPSC is directing consumers to immediately stop using the recalled power banks. Contact Shenzhen Baihang to verify your unit is included and to receive a free replacement power bank.
Do not throw the recalled power bank in the trash, in general recycling, or in used battery recycling boxes at retail or home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be taken to a municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center. Call ahead to confirm the facility accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries before bringing the device in.
Legal Help for Texans Harmed by a Recalled Power Bank
Texans across Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and across the state rely on portable chargers and power banks for everyday use, at work, on the road, and at home. A power bank that overheats and catches fire without warning puts consumers at serious risk of burns, property damage, and home fires.
When a product is defective and poses a fire risk, the manufacturer may be held responsible for resulting injuries and property damage. Texas residents who were burned or had property damaged may be entitled to compensation for medical bills, property damage, pain and suffering, and other losses.
A Texas product liability lawyer can review your situation and explain your legal options. Time limits apply under Texas law — do not wait to seek legal advice.
