Sauna360 Sauna Bench Recall Expansion

In October 2025 Sauna360 announced the original recall for about 1,000 Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid saunas. At the time, there were 7 reports of the bench seating breaking, including 1 person who suffered injuries involving the head and neck. The company sent technicians to add hardware to the benches.

Now, the company is re-announcing the recall due to additional reports of benches collapsing and people who were seriously injured.

In an expanded recall on September 17, 2026, Sauna360 confirmed another 77 reports of benches collapsing, breaking, or failing. There were 6 new injuries reported, and the expanded recall covers about 6,000 units total.

Who Announced the Recall?

The recall was announced by Sauna360, a subsidiary of the company Tylö, whichi s headquartered in Halmstad, Swede. The company has a U.S. presence in Cokato, Minnesota. The saunas themselves are manufactured by SFactor in China.

What Is the Defect?

The injuries reported in the expanded recall include head and neck injuries and a sprained ankle. The safety hazard affects the following models:

  • Tylö Halmstad™ 2, W/BLISS, 15A or 20A, 120V, CB21-1, V1
  • Tylö Halmstad™ 3, W/BLISS, 240V, CB23-1, V1
  • Tylö Halmstad™ 4, W/BLISS, 240V, CB23-1, V1
  • Tylö Kiruna Hybrid™ 2, W/BLISS, 15A or 20A, 120V, LOW EMR, CB20-1, V1
  • Tylö Kiruna Hybrid™ 3, W/BLISS, 240V, LOW EMR, CB22-1, V1

Users can find the serial numbers under the upper bench on Halmstad models and on the right wall beneath the upper bench on Kiruna Hybrid models. The specific serial number ranges are listed on the CPSC notice.

Where Were They Sold?

The saunas were sold from July 2024 through July 2026 for between $6,000 and $12,000. If you own one of these saunas, the CPSC urges you to stop using it immediately, even if it already received the 2025 repair. Contact Sauna360 through its recall page for the new remedy.

A Repair That Didn’t Hold

Consumers who had their sauna benches repaired and retrofitted in 2025 or early 2026 may have been told that the hazard was resolved. Instead, more people were hurt by benches that collapsed in saunas they believed were safe.
