In February 2024, Dynabook Americas recalled about 15.5 million Toshiba Laptop AC Adaptors that can overheat, catch on fire, and cause burn injuries.

What is the Problem?

There were 679 reports of the recalled Toshiba laptop chargers overheating, catching on fire, burning, melting, or sparking. At least 43 people said they suffered minor burn injuries, according to the recall.

How To Identify Recalled Toshiba Laptop Chargers

The recall involves Toshiba Laptop AC Adaptors that were sold nationwide from April 2008 through April 2014. They came as original equipment with Toshiba laptop computers, and were sold individually.
