What Did Pacearth Direct Recall?
In October 2026, U.S. safety officials announced a recall by Pacearth Direct for about 110,550 PACEARTH® U-type swing seats that were sold on Amazon.
Pacearth Direct said it has received at least 30 reports involving children who fell when the product broke. At least 9 injuries have been reported, including fractures, head injuries and bruising.
What Can Break on These Swing Seats?
Any of the following components may break while the swing is being used:
- The swing seat itself
- The metal carabiners or quick links
- The yellow webbing straps
According to the CPSC, a failure of any of these components can create a risk of serious injury from a fall. The carabiners and straps were supplied for attaching the swing to outdoor swing sets or tree branches. The seat itself can also potentially break, resulting in a fall.

What Should I Do?
The CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled swing seats and contact Pacearth Direct to get a refund. You will need to write “RECALLED” on the seat with permanent marker, take a photograph showing the PACEARTH logo, and email the photo to recall@pacearth.com.
