One Daily Men’s 50+ Lawsuit
In May 2019, a lawsuit was filed against Vitamin Shoppe by a man from Evanston, Illinois who says he developed severe side effects after taking 2 bottles of One Daily Men’s 50+ dietary supplements.
He says he purchased the supplements in June 2017. Soon after he started taking them, he began experiencing “new medical problems.”
Side Effects of One Daily Men’s 50+
- Liver problems
- Kidney problems
- Numbness and/or burning sensation in extremities
- Slurred speech
- Weakness in extremities
- Memory loss/confusion
- Vision issues
What is the Problem?
The lawsuit was filed by a man who experienced a variety of “new medical problems,” such as numbness in his extremities, burning sensations in his feet, weakness in his hands, headaches, slurred speech, mental confusion, tremors, high blood pressure, and vision issues.
Subsequently, he was diagnosed with organ damage, including kidney damage that required surgery and stent placement, and nerve damage.
Tests Find Toxic Lead, Arsenic, Cadimum
The lawsuit states that laboratory testing on the One Daily Men’s 50+ supplement he was taking showed that it contained unsafe levels of arsenic, cadmium, and lead.
He accuses Vitamin Shoppe of negligence for failing to ensure that the supplement did not contain dangerous toxic ingredients:
“As a result of the Vitamin Supplement containing arsenic, cadmium, and lead at levels toxic to humans, Plaintiff suffered numerous and permanent injuries.”
