Lithonia Lighting Recalls RSX Lights Over Falling Fixture Hazard

On October 22, 2026, Lithonia Lighting and U.S. product safety officials issued a recall for about 11,532 Lithonia RSX luminaires with adjustable-tilt arm mountings.

Instead of a refund, Lithonia Lighting said it will arrange a free repair. A qualified professional will replace the recalled mount for a new complete adjustable arm assembly.

What Is the Danger?

The lights are used for commercial outdoor lighting. They are attached to a pole or wall on an adjustable arm. This adjustable arm allows the fixture to tilt from 0 degrees to 90 degrees above horizontal. The problem is that the knuckle of the adjustable arm can fail. This can allow the luminaire to fall off the mounting arm. This poses an impact injury hazard to people below.

For anyone standing, parking, or working under one of these lights, there is a risk of severe, life-threatening impact injuries if one of these lights falls unexpectedly.

Which Lights Are Affected?

  • AASP: adjustable arm, square pole mount
  • AARP: adjustable arm, round pole mount
  • AAWB: adjustable arm, wall bracket
  • AAWSC: adjustable arm, wall bracket with surface mount conduit box
  • Manufactured: August 2019 to July 2020 and August 2024 to April 2026, in the United States and Mexico

Where Were They Sold?

Commercial distributors like Turtle &a Hughes Inc. and Consolidated Electrical Distributors sold the lights between August 2019 and August 2026 for between $400-$2,200.

Stay away from the area under the light and call Lithonia Lighting at 855-307-2454 to confirm if the light is included in the recall. If so, schedule a repair. For more information, visit the Lithonia Lighting website or read the CPSC recall announcement.

How Many People Were Injured?

No injuries were reported, but Lithonia Lighting received 13 reports of the tilt arm mountings breaking. There were 4 reports of the light fixtures falling.
