The popular Kugel Mesh Hernia Patch has been linked to severe adverse health effects. Scrutiny over these potentially life-threatening side effects has led to a voluntary recall by the manufacturer in association with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Kugel Mesh Hernia Patch Overview
The Kugel Mesh Hernia Patch is used in the treatment of inguinal, ventral and laparoscopic hernias. However, Davol, the manufacturer of Kugel Mesh Hernia Patches, began receiving negative reports regarding their patches as early as 2001.
