What Is the Burn Risk?
According to the CPSC, the recalled coffeemakers can become clogged. This can potentially cause hot liquid or steam to build up in the unit, and then release unexpectedly during use. This poses a risk of serious burn injuries to the hands, arms, face, and body.
Because these single-serve coffeemakers are designed to brews scalding-hot water into a cup at close range, a sudden release of hot liquid or steam is a potential hazard. The CPSC reported 1st- and 2nd-degree burns among the injuries connected to these machines.
Which Products Are Affected?
The recall involves Kidisle-branded hot and iced single-serve coffee machines with the following details:
- Brand name “Kidisle” shown on the product order receipt
- Model “KC101B” printed on a sticker on the underside
- Black, white and gray color scheme
- About 11 inches high and 6 inches wide
- 50-ounce detachable water tank
- Brews 6 to 14 ounces of cupped or ground coffee
Where Were They Sold?
The recalled coffeemakers were sold online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com and eBay.com from June 2024 through April 2026 for about $49. Because they were sold through major online retailers, the machines reached households across the country, including many in Texas.
The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled coffeemakers immediately and contact Kidisle for a full refund. For updates, you can visit the CPSC recall notice.
How Many People Were Injured?
