October 24, 2016 — A jury in Texas has awarded $6 million to a pregnant woman who was paralyzed in a car accident in Lubbock County, according to Fox34.
The verdict was announced earlier this month after a one-week trial in the 237th District Court.
The accident occurred on the night of January 7, 2015, on U.S. 82. The victim, Hali Overbey, was 21 years old and 7 months pregnant when the accident occurred. It left her paralyzed from the waist down.

On February 10, she gave birth to a baby boy weighing 3 pounds and 10 ounces, according to Lubbock Online
