JoyJolt Coffee Mugs Recalled After Dozens of Injuries Reported

On June 20, 2024, MM Products announced a recall for about 580,000 glass coffee mugs that can crack or break when they are filled with hot liquid.

What is the Problem?

The recall involves JoyJolt Declan Single-Wall Glass Coffee Mugs (Model Number JG10242). There were 103 reports of the glass mugs cracking or breaking at the base when they were filled with hot liquid.

How Many People Were Injured?

JoyJolt said it received 35 reports of people who were burned when hot liquid spilled onto their body when the glass broke. There were also 21 people who reported lacerations (cuts) from broken glass.

Where Were They Sold?

The recalled mugs were sold on 16 oz. size as a set of 6 mugs. They were sold online at Amazon.com, JoyJolt.com, and MM Products website between September 2019 and May 2022.
