Infant walkers sold on Amazon have been recalled because babies can fit through standard doorways, fail to stop at the edge of a step, or slip through the leg openings and get trapped. If your baby fell down the stairs or was injured while in one of these walkers, it was not your fault.

Multiple Amazon Infant Walkers Recalled for Deadly Fall and Entrapment Hazards
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a wave of recalls and stop-use warnings targeting infant walkers sold exclusively through Amazon by Chinese third-party sellers.
These walkers share the same dangerous defects: they can pass through a standard doorway, they do not stop at the edge of a stair, and their leg openings are wide enough to allow an infant to slip through until their head is trapped.
The most recent recall involved Uuoeebb Infant Walkers, including about 2,650 units that were sold on Amazon from December 2024 through September 2025 for $60 to $90. The manufacturer, a Chinese company operating as BaoD, has been unresponsive to the CPSC’s request to recall the product.
A Child Nearly Died — Documented Stair-Fall Incident, January 2026
In January 2026, a family reported to the CPSC that their 7-month-old son fell down a full flight of stairs from the second floor of their home while in a baby walker purchased on Amazon. The infant sustained a severe head injury, including bruising and intracranial hemorrhage — bleeding inside the brain. The child was reported to have “nearly died.”
Which Infant Walkers Have Been Recalled or Warned?
The following Amazon-sold infant walkers have been the subject of CPSC recalls or stop-use safety warnings for failing mandatory federal safety standards:
- Uuoeebb (BaoD) — Recalled 2026; ~2,650 units; Amazon, Dec. 2024–Sep. 2025; $60–$90
- HolyBase — CPSC Warning 2026; sold on Amazon Jun.–Sep. 2025; $60–$130
- AIRLYA-Life (Childcrew) — CPSC Warning 2025; ~9,935 units; Amazon, Apr. 2023–Apr. 2025; $63–$100
- NVW — CPSC Warning 2025; ~1,825 units; Amazon, May 2024–Apr. 2025; $76–$130
- Comfi Baby (All Merchandise) — CPSC Warning 2024; Amazon, Oct. 2022–Mar. 2023; ~$100; seller no longer in business
- Boyro Baby — Recalled 2025; sold on Amazon Aug.–Dec. 2024; $70–$90; also contained lead exceeding federal limits
- Goregent — Recalled 2026; sold on Amazon [NOTE: Verify specific sale dates and unit count from CPSC recall page before publishing]

Can Amazon Be Held Liable for These Injuries in Texas?
Texas product liability law holds sellers in the chain of distribution accountable for defective products that reach consumers, even if they did not manufacture the product.
Amazon’s role as marketplace, fulfillment center, and payment processor for these walkers is at the heart of growing legal arguments that it qualifies as a “seller” under product liability law.
Several courts, including courts in Texas and other states, have found that Amazon can be held liable when it stores, ships, and profits from third-party products that are found to be defective. When the Chinese manufacturer is unreachable or unresponsive to the CPSC, Amazon is often the only solvent defendant available to an injured Texas family.
This area of law is actively evolving, and our Texas product liability lawyers are tracking it closely. If your child was hurt by a walker bought through Amazon, you should not assume Amazon is off the hook. Talk to a lawyer immediately.
What Injuries Are Linked to Defective Infant Walkers?
Infant walker stair falls are among the most dangerous household accidents affecting babies. Because infants cannot control their descent or protect their heads, the injuries are often severe:
- Skull fractures from stair impact
- Intracranial hemorrhage — bleeding inside the skull that can cause permanent brain damage or death
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI) — ranging from concussion to severe cognitive and developmental impairment
- Neck and cervical spine injuries from entrapment in oversized leg openings
- Strangulation or asphyxia when the head is entrapped and the child cannot free themselves
- Facial fractures from direct impact with stair edges or floors
- Developmental delays from brain injury sustained during early childhood development
- Wrongful death
