In December 2022, Gyroor recalled about 3,300 C3 e-bikes because the battery packs can catch on fire, which poses a risk of burn injuries and property damage.

What Happened?

The recall was announced after 2 reports of Gyroor C3 e-bike battery fires, and 2 reports of people who needed medical attention. The injuries included a burn injury to the foot and smoke inhalation.

What is the Problem?

On the company website, Gyroor blamed the fires on “hidden dangers in the battery packs of some Gyroor C3 electric bicycles.” They linked the problem to the 10S4P battery pack manufactured by Warteam New Energy (Guang Dong) Co., Ltd..

Was My E-Bike Recalled?

Gyroor recalled C3 e-bikes that were sold from November 2020 through September 2022. The bikes can be identified by “C3” printed on the a label on the seat tube. The serial number starts with 8330.

They were sold online at www.amazon.com, www.gyroor.com, www.gyroorboard.com, and www.walmart.com for about $600.
