Gourmia Air Fryer Oven Recall

In November 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall for about 175,951 Gourmia® Stainless Steel 9-Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens due to a risk of serious burn injuries. According to the recall:

“The doors can unexpectedly close when bumped, posing a burn hazard to consumers retrieving hot food.”

The air fryer ovens were recalled by The Steelstone Group LLC, a company that is doing business in the U.S. as Gourmia, based in Brooklyn, New York. The ovens were manufactured in China.

What is the Burn Injury Risk?

The recalled air fryer ovens have two spring-loaded glass French doors with metal handles. Burn injuries occur when the doors close unexpectedly when consumers are retrieving hot food.

The inside of the glass doors gets extremely hot when the oven is in use, and it only takes a moment of contact to cause serious burn injuries to a consumer’s hands, wrists, or arm. There is also a risk of dropping hot food, which can spill or splash, resulting in even more extensive burn injuries to the user or innocent bystanders.
