Five Below LED Bear Lights Recalled for Fire Hazard
On April 3, 2025, Five Below announced a recall for about 29,000 Room2Room LED Iridescent Bear Lights that can overheat, catch on fire, or burn people.
What is the Problem?
The recalled LED Bear Lights have a power switch on a USB cord. The problem is that the “power switch on the USB cord can overheat and melt, posing fire and burn hazards,” according to the recall.
How Many People Were Burned?
Five Below received 28 reports of the USB cord overheating and melting, including 6 reports of burns to fingers. There were 2 reports of property damage, including burns to a wall and a headboard.
How To Identify Recalled LED Bear Lights
The recall involves Room2Room LED Iridescent Bear Lights that were sold at Five Below stores nationwide and online at fivebelow.com from September 2024 through February 2025.
The lights measure about 7.5 inches tall by 9.3 inches wide and have a USB plug with an on/off switch.
There is a sticker on the bottom of the bear with the information: “Room 2 Room,” “LED Iridescent Bear Light” and model number “LD-0030.”
The UPC code “1922340368444” is printed on the bottom of the packaging.
Can I Get a Refund?
Yes. Five Below is offering customers a refund for the recalled LED Bear Lights.
You can bring the product into any Five Below store for a refund, or contact the company online for information on how to submit a photo of the product with the power cord cut.
