DEWALT Propane Heaters Recalled at Lowe’s for Fire & Burn Risks
On April 3, 2025, Enerco recalled about 21,250 DEWALT 70,000 BTU Outdoor Portable Cordless Forced-Air Propane Heaters that were sold exclusively at Lowe’s due to a fire hazard.
What Happened?
No burn injuries were reported, but there were 11 reports of DEWALT Propane Heaters overheating. These overheating incidents occurred when the propane heater was turned on, but the blower fan was off.
According to the recall:
“The recalled portable heaters’ operating instructions can cause consumers to incorrectly depress the start button too quickly and prevent the fan from starting, causing the heaters to overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.”
