In June 2024, Dairy Manufacturers Inc. expanded and updated a recall for all cans of Crecelac Infant Formula that were sold in Texas due to safety concerns.
The recall involves all cans of Crecelac Infant 0-12 with an expiration date of 08/2025. This infant formula was manufactured at Dairy Manufacturers Mexicana Sa De Cv in Monterey, Mexico. A sample of this product also tested positive for Cronobacter bacteria.
According to the recall, 12.4-ounce cans of Crecelac were distributed primarily in March, April, and May 2024. The product was distributed through retail stores in the state of Texas only. The recalled product is labeled as infant formula and packaged in a 12.4 oz. cardboard and aluminum can.

On May 29, 2024, the FDA issued a Safety Warning after tests found the dangerous bacteria Cronobacter in a sample of Crecelac Infant Powdered Goat Milk Infant Formula that was collected from a retail store in Texas.
