Cooluli Minifridges Recalled for Fire Hazards

In August 2026, safety officials and Cooluli announced a recall for Cooluli® 10-Liter and 15-Liter mini-fridges because an electrical switch can short-circuit, which poses a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries.

What is the Problem?

Cooluli posted its own voluntary safety recall notice, warning customers that on some older units, the selector switch that switches control from the “Cooling” mode to the “Warming” mode can overheat.

The company added: “The good news: this is limited to specific older production batches, so most Cooluli refrigerators aren’t affected.”

Where Were They Sold?

The recalled minifridges were sold under the Infinity, Classic, Glow Beauty and Vibe Series names at Amazon.com and Cooluli.com from January 2019 to October 2024 for between $80 and $120.

How To Identify Recalled Minifridges

The recalled batches carry batch numbers 1535 through 1545 and 1200000 through 1202080, printed on a label inside the fridge door, alongside the model number.

Cooluli is just one of several manufacturers who sell these small, portable mini-fridges. These products have gained popularity for use on desktops, dorms, offices, and beyond. They are widely used to store drinks, snacks, and also temperature-sensitive skincare products, cosmetics, and beauty products.

How Many Fires Were Reported?

Cooluli said it received 19 reports of the minifridges smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating, or catching on fire. One person suffered a smoke inhalation injury. The property damage from these incidents exceeds $80,000.

The incidents linked to Cooluli minifridges include:

  • 19 reports of smoking, sparking, or fire nationwide
  • 1 reported smoke inhalation injury
  • Over $80,000 in property damage reported
  • No deaths reported

What Should Texans With a Recalled Minifridge Do?

Cooluli customers should check the model-number and batch numbers at the official minifridge recall website. If your unit was recalled, unplug it, cut the power cord, and submit photos to get a free replacement DC cord.
