FRESH SEASONS Chicken Caesar Wraps Flagged for Listeria

In June 2026, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced a Health Alert for fully-cooked, ready-to-eat Chicken Caesar Wraps that were sold at Holiday convenience stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

No recall was issued because the wraps are just past their expiration date, but people who are these warps should be aware of the problem. The USDA warned that the wraps may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. They were produced by Taher, Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota.

The potential risk of Listeria contamination was discovered when the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) test a sample of Chicken Caesar Wraps. The wraps should not be in stores, but some of these products might still be in consumers’ refrigerators.

What Is the Risk From Listeria?

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can survive on refrigerated foods. It can make people sick with an infection that is called listeriosis. This illness can spread beyond the digestive system (called an “invasive infection”), which is dangerous for pregnant women, adults over 65, and people with weakened immune systems.

According to the CDC, the symptoms of an infection usually begin within 2 weeks of eating contaminated food. However, the symptoms sometimes start the same day you eat contaminated food, or up to 10 weeks later.

When the symptoms of listeriosis do appear, they may include:

  • Fever and muscle aches
  • Headache, stiff neck, and confusion
  • Loss of balance
  • Diarrhea
  • Other stomach symptoms
  • Complications in other parts of the body (such as meningitis)
  • And more

In pregnant women, an infection may bring only mild symptoms or none at all. However, there is a serious risk of miscarriage, stillbirth, premature delivery, or a life-threatening infection in the newborn.

Which Chicken Caesar Wraps Are Affected?

The following product was identified in the health alert:

  • 8.7-oz. clear plastic wrapped packages of “FRESH SEASONS Kitchen Chicken Caesar Wrap”
  • “Sell By:6/24/2026” printed on the back label above the ingredients
  • Establishment number “P-45091” inside the USDA mark of inspection
  • Produced on June 16, 2026

Where Were the Wraps Sold?

The wraps were shipped to Holiday convenience stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin. If you have one of these wraps at home, FSIS advises that you do not eat it and either throw it away or return it to the store.

For updates, see the FSIS public health alert. Consumers with food safety questions can call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at (888) 674-6854.

How Many People Got Sick?

No illnesses had been confirmed in connection with these chicken Caesar wraps. Listeria infections are often under-reported, since symptoms can take weeks to appear and many people never get tested. If you ate a Chicken Caesar Wrap and later developed symptoms of listeriosis, our lawyers may be able to help you.
