Beekeeper’s Naturals Recalls Nasal Spray for Infection Risk
In June 2026, Beekeeper’s Naturals announced a recall for a single batch (Lot 5950) of its Saline Nasal Spray due to a risk of microbial contamination and infections.
The product was only sold to consumers through Amazon. The company said the lot tested above its acceptable microbiological limits for yeast, and it may contain Aspergillus, a type of mold.
Beekeeper’s Naturals said the recalled products were produced at a 3rd-party manufacturer who mistakenly shipped the product to Amazon before testing results came back.
How Many People Got Sick?
As of June 12, 2026, Beekeeper’s Naturals said it received 4 complaints from customers who experienced adverse reactions that could potentially be related to the spray, including:
- Sinus congestion
- Nasal irritation
- Infection
In the recall, the FDA described the danger as follows:
“In the population most at risk, such as people with weakened immune systems or lung diseases, there is a reasonable probability that use of the product with Aspergillus spp. contamination will cause serious and life-threatening infections such as invasive sinusitis and lung infections.”
What Is the Infection Risk?
Aspergillus is a common mold, both indoors and outdoors. Many halthy people breathe in Aspergillus mold spores every day without getting sick. A nasal spray is different, though. Nasal sprays deliver whatever is in the bottle directly onto the lining of the nose and sinuses.
People with pre-existing health problems affecting the sinuses may have a weakened immune system. The risk of a severe infection is also increased for people with chronic lung disease.
In severe cases, Aspergillus in the sinuses can lead to invasive fungal sinusitis, where the mold grows into tissue and spreads to nearby structures. The product also tested above acceptable limits for yeast, another common fungus that can cause infections.
The people at highest risk include those with a blood cancer, a recent organ transplant, uncontrolled diabetes, or a chronic lung condition.
Which Products Are Affected?
The recall involves the following products:
- Beekeeper’s Naturals Saline Nasal Spray, single-unit 1 FL OZ (30 mL) bottle
- Lot number: 5950
- Expiration date: 02/2028 (Best By)
The lot number and expiration date are printed on the bottom or back label. No other Beekeeper’s Naturals products are part of this recall.
Where Were They Sold?
The recall involves about 585 units of nasal spray. The products were sold through Amazon nationwide between April 2 and April 24, 2026. Because Amazon ships to homes across Texas, affected bottles could be in medicine cabinets in the state.
The FDA says consumers who have Lot 5950 should stop using it and contact Beekeeper’s Naturals at 1-888-759-6910 for a refund.

Previous Nasal Spray Recalls
This recall follows a string of similar actions. In November 2025, more than 41,000 bottles of Walgreens Saline Nasal Spray with Xylitol were recalled due to a risk of contamination with the bacterium Pseudomonas lactis.
In December 2025, MediNatura recalled all lots of its ReBoost and ClearLife nasal sprays due to concerns about a risk of infections from yeast/mold, and a bacterium identified as Achromobacter.
Legal Help for Nasal Spray Injury Victims in Texas
Many Texas families keep saline nasal sprays on hand for congestion, allergies, and dry sinuses, and online orders from Amazon reach homes in every corner of the state. When a product meant to soothe the sinuses is instead contaminated with mold or yeast, many people could be put at risk.
For a Texan with a weakened immune system or chronic lung disease, an infection traced to a contaminated nasal spray can mean hospitalization and lasting harm.
If you were harmed after using this product, a Texas product liability lawyer can help you understand your legal options.
