November 10, 2021 — A bar in San Antonio, Texas has been hit by a $20 million lawsuit after a cyclist was hit and killed by a drunk driver.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Beatrice G., a 44-year-old woman who died on April 7, when a vehicle jumped the curb and hit her as she was on the sidewalk waiting for her friends to catch up.

The driver of the vehicle was a 22-year-old woman who was later charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The woman had reportedly been drinking at the Cervecería Chapultepec, a Mexican bar and restaurant that serves food and cocktails, wine, and beer. The restaurant is known for a one-price food and drinks menu where everything is just $2.90.

Cervecería Chapultepec is accused of over-serving alcohol to a patron who was visibly intoxicated, resulting in the deadly drunk driving accident, according to the lawsuit.
