July 23, 2024 — The parents of a baby girl from Texas who died after falling out of a Snuggle Me Baby Lounger have filed a lawsuit against Target.
The wrongful death lawsuit was filed by Lacey and Chase H., parents from Texas who bought a Snuggle Me Baby Lounger from Target in June 2023.
On November 6, 2023, their 7-month-old daughter rolled out of the Snuggle Me Baby Lounger and became trapped between pillows and a headboard. She was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital, where she was was pronounced dead on November 7, 2023.
The lawsuit claims that the Snuggle Me Baby Lounger instructions lacked the necessary information for parents to understand how it was supposed to be safely used — specifically that the baby lounger was not intended for extended sleeping, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed on July 27, 2024 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas (Houston Division) — Case Number 4:24-cv-02661.
