New Orleans Benzene Lawsuit
Donald Moore Sr., a police officer from Mississippi, filed a benzene cancer lawsuit in New Orleans in April 2011 (Case No. 2:11-cv-00747). According to the lawsuit:
“The development of multiple myeloma as a result of chronic benzene exposure has been well documented, and death resulting from multiple myeloma has been associated with benzene exposure,” states the lawsuit.”
Mr. Moore was diagnosed with multiple myeloma after exposure to benzene in Liquid Wrench degreaser while working on cars, bikes, motorbikes, and cleaning guns. He was also exposed to benzene in paint, paint thinner, cleaners, and other products, including:

Benzene and Cancer
Benzene is a sweet-smelling chemical that is extremely flammable and evaporates into the air very quickly.
