June 21, 2017 — About 6,600 Kawasaki all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility vehicles were recalled because the fuel gauge retainer can collapse and leak fuel, posing a fire hazard.
Kawasaki Motors Corp. USA, of Foothill Ranch, California recalled the 2017 model-year Mule utility vehicles, Teryx recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs), and Brute Force 750 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). No injuries have been reported.
The vehicles were sold at Kawasaki dealers nationwide between March 2017 and April 2017 for between $8,000 and $15,000. Kawasaki is urging consumers to immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact the company for free repair.
