May 22, 2020 — After 1 report of a tip-over incident without injuries, Herman Miller recalled around 2,700 Nelson and Lauki dressers and cabinets due to a serious safety hazard.

This recall involves Nelson Cabinets, Dressers, and Buffets manufactured by Herman Miller Inc., of Zeeland, Michigan.

The recall also involves Lauki 3-Drawer and 6-Drawer Dressers sold by Design Within Reach, of Stamford, Connecticut.

The recalled furniture items were sold from September 2010 through January 2020 for between $2,600 and $16,000.

The products do not meet the new ASTM stability standard that went into effect on August 1, 2019, which means the futnirue can tip-over and fall. The products pose a serious risk of injury or death, particularly to children.
