October 2, 2023 — A woman who claims that the lid blew off of her Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker has filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer for selling a defective product.
The lawsuit was filed by a woman from El Cajon, California, who accuses SharkNinja Operating LLC of selling an “unreasonably dangerous” pressure cooker.
She claims that the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker is defective for several reasons. First of all, she claims to have suffered severe burn injuries as a result of the “pressure cooker’s lid suddenly and unexpectedly exploding off the pressure cooker’s pot.”
This serious accident caused scalding-hot food and liquid to explode out of the pressure cooker and onto her body, resulting in severe burns.
Furthermore, she alleges that the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker is defective “because the lid can be rotated and opened while the unit remains pressurized.” This can also result in an explosion of food.
Her Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker Lawsuit was filed on August 16, 2023 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California — Case 3:23-cv-01503-AJB-KSC.
