Texas lawyer for men with melanoma after taking Viagra.June 17, 2016 — Yet another study has found an increased risk of skin cancer among men on Viagra, but researchers say it is likely due to greater sun exposure.

The researchers found a 14% increased risk of melanoma among nearly 150,000 men on Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra, compared to 560,000 men who did not take the drugs.

The researchers said the study “strongly suggests” the risk is due to sun exposure, but they did not have individual-level data to support this conclusion. The study was published in PLoS Medicine by researchers in the U.K.

This is not the first time Viagra has been linked to melanoma. In 2014, JAMA published a study linking Viagra to an 84% increased risk.

Last year, another study published in JAMA found a 21% increased risk of melanoma. However, researchers said the increased risk was likely due to lifestyle factors — men who can afford viagra also spend more time in the sun.

At least 35 lawsuits have already been filed against Pfizer, the manufacturer of Viagra. Reuters reports that plaintiffs’ lawyer Ernest Cory has been chosen to lead the Multi-District Litigation (MDL No. 2691).
