Workbless Pressure Washers Linked to Shock and Electrocution Risk

In August 2026, the CPSC announced a recall for 2,200 Workbless electric pressure washers due to an electrocution hazard.

The recall covers two models (WB0301 and WB0302), which were both imported and sold under the Workbless brand by a China-based private labeler. As of the recall date, no injuries had been reported.

What Is the Problem?

Pressure washers combine high-pressure water with an electric motor. The GFCI is a safety features that can sense when current is leaking somewhere, like a pool of water or a person’s body. The GFCI shuts the power off in less than a second.

The problem with the recalled Workbless pressure washers is that they do not have an integral GFCI. Another problem is that the power cords are too short for typical outdoor use. This might result in consumers using extension cords, which adds to the risk.

Which Products Are Affected?

The recall involves the following two models:

• Workbless Model WB0301 — labeled “ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER,” about 27.24″ tall
• Workbless Model WB0302 — labeled “HEAVY DUTY ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER,” about 29.57″ tall
• Both have 4 quick-connect nozzles and a foam cannon

Where Were They Sold?

The pressure washers were sold on Amazon.com, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Overstock, Target, and Walmart, for $97 to $140 between April 2025 and July 2026.
