Panera Recalls Cream Cheese for Listeria Risk

What is the problem?

Panera reported that Listeria was only found in samples of one type of a 2-oz cream cheese product from a single production day. Samples from production days before and after did not test positive for Listeria.

Panera recalled all varieties of 2-oz and 8-oz cream cheese products in the U.S. with expiration days before April 2, 2018. The recall does not affect cream cheese sold in Canada.

The following products are included in the recall:

  • Plain Cream Cheese
  • Reduced-Fat Plain Cream Cheese
  • Reduced-Fat Chive & Onion Cream Cheese
