Frozen Biscuit Recalled for Listeria Risk
December 29, 2017 — T. Marzetti Company has issued a voluntary recall for a variety of frozen biscuit dough products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The frozen biscuits were distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
The recall involves all “best-by” dates of the following frozen biscuit dough products.

Listeria Food Poisoning
No illnesses have been reported, but consumers should not eat these products because infections with Listeria monocytogenes can be very serious, and sometimes fatal. According to the FDA warning:
“Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.”
